About the Series

This peer-reviewed series, composed of fifteen separately-titled books, examines a significant issue in American history. Each volume contains disciplinary content in American history, a discussion of connectedness linking past and present thematic issues, a discussion of the pedagogical challenges in teaching that content, examples of lesson plans that address the CC, C3 and NCSS standards and online resources. The series is designed for use by secondary school teachers and university professors of teacher education to augment traditional textbooks.
